Students completing this program will have the opportunity to earn the CNA credential and will be equipped with the necessary skills to enter directly into the workforce or continue their career path as a Registered Nurse. This credential allows individuals to assist nurses, doctors, and other healthcare providers in a variety of medical settings with a focus on patient care.  The career skills earned through this program includes ambulation of a resident, application of assistive devices, multiple healthcare treatments of a resident, as well as various life-saving techniques.

Important Items to Note

Attendance: 
The CNA Program, also known as the NATCEP (Nurse Aide Training and Competency Program) is governed by the Ohio Department of Health. The Ohio Department of Health has made it a state regulation that all CNA Trainees have at a minimum 59 hours of classroom instruction and 16 hours of clinical instruction. With this in mind, students must attend all of the class dates in order to apply. Additional information regarding attendance will be discussed on the first day of class. However, please be aware in advance that attendance is critical.

  • Tuesday, June 24, 2025; 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (BLS/FA)
  • Thursday-Friday, June 26-27, 2025; 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (Review Days)
  • Monday-Wednesday, June 30-July 2, 2025; 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (Testing Days--You will be scheduled for only one of these three dates.)


Note:
  • 16 hours of clinicals are required, you will be scheduled for two of the three clinical dates listed.
  • Dates/times are subject to change, students will be notified of any changes to the schedule.
  • Students will be given 30 minutes for lunch each day for classroom and clinical dates. You can also view the dates on the calendar below by navigating to the month of June. 

Uniforms:
You are required to wear a full uniform (shirt and pants) to class everyday. The uniform will consist of nursing scrubs top and bottoms; solid colors only, no prints or character tops. Shoes can be either a nursing shoe or athletic shoe; NO open toes, heals must be enclosed,  NO CROC’s. Long hair needs pulled up into a ponytail or bun. Jewelry should be kept to a minimum and there are to be no facial piercings visible. Acrylic or gel nails will not be permitted at clinicals or during testing, nails should not be longer than the tip of the finger. 

Supplies: 
The only supplies you will need to bring with you to class are: a notebook for note-taking, pens or pencils, and a folder for the papers.
