Introduction to Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology
Learn how to remember, pronounce, and apply the meanings of all the prefixes, roots, and suffixes that combine to form medical terms. Learn the human structure and functions of the systems within the human body. This class provides a foundation for medical billing and coding or assisting in a medical office.
(Note: This class is a prerequisite for the billing and coding sequence.)

Medical Insurance Billing and Coding – Part I
Learn a step-by-step approach to understanding the fundamentals of ICD-10 coding. This course will provide the student with an introduction to coding guidelines utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, federal health care regulations and diagnosis and procedure coding standards.
(Note: Introduction to Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, (Course #501) is a prerequisite for this course.)

Medical Insurance Billing and Coding – Part II
Learn advanced medical insurance billing and coding procedures utilizing advanced source documents to successfully complete health insurance claim forms for all government and private insurance carriers. This course provides the student with advanced working knowledge to process reimbursements using CPT-4 and HCPCS. Learn skills necessary to obtain an entry level insurance and/or medical office position.
(Note: Medical Insurance Billing and Coding – Part I, (Course #505) is a prerequisite.)
