Welcome to the SWCSD Adult Training Hub
The South-Western City School District offers adult workforce development courses at no cost to participants! The goal of all programming is to provide the participants with the instruction, experiences, and skills needed to enter in-demand career fields. Priority is given to applicants who are unemployed, underemployed, and those who plan to enter these fields as a profession. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate outlining the skills mastered throughout each course. During each session, business partners will be invited in to discuss career opportunities within their respective fields.
Courses are held at South-Western Career Academy throughout the school year, fall, winter and spring. Registration for the various sessions begin 8 weeks prior to the beginning of class. All classes are held in the evening beginning at 5:00pm, typically on Mondays and Wednesdays and run for approximately 10-15 weeks. A required information meeting will be scheduled prior to the beginning of each course. In the case of any school closure classes will be rescheduled.
